Cheryl has over thirty years experience counseling individuals, couples, families, and groups. She has maintained a busy private practice; first in York Region from 1995 to 2003; and now in the Huronia area. Cheryl's goal is to assist people in maximizing their coping strategies by focusing on their own unique abilities and helping them to recognize their strengths. Cheryl teaches and consults on a wide variety of topics, including stress management, meditation, and intuitive development.
Her keen intuitive abilities have been honed over the past twenty years through extensive studies in the field of Holistic Health. Her lineage extends back to her paternal Grandmother, who was a practicing Spiritualist. As a result of her continued learning, and a life-stage readiness to embrace her intuitive heritage; she now incorporates exploration of the Spiritual Self as a key component in her work with all clients. A Certified Reiki Master, and Certified IET Master-Instructor, she encourages the use of energy work as an adjunct to traditional counseling. She also offers a variety of Intuitive Services and connects with many new clients in a creative way in this regard.
Knowing that everyone has a story to tell and being a keen writer of journals, articles, and blogs, she has recently added ‘Writing Coaching’ and ‘Editing Services’ to her portfolio, and she welcomes coaching opportunities to assist new writers in delivering their message in an authentic way. She also encourages the ‘telling’ of stories and the sacred sharing of memories by supporting those interested in creating unique ‘Rites of Passage’ for the many important markers of life. A recent Ministerial Certification through the Universal Life Church has provided her with some formalized training in this area to add her many years of personal experience in the creation of life ritual. She is indeed ready to embrace a moment of connection with you.
